DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla College women's basketball team defeated the Stars of Lansing Community College in conference action Saturday, 56-55. The win move the teams record to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Conference.
Sophomores, Daitriona Bonds and Kristen Duff led the scoring for the Chargers with 14 and 12 points respectively. Freshman, Donshelle Daniels pulled a double-double for the game with 11 points and ten rebounds. Miranda Shepherd led in the assist category with six.
"Our defense really held us together today," said Tom Robbins, Head Coach. "We had a lot of miscues on the offensive end and never really got into a good rhythm but defensively we were on point from start to finish. That made all the difference."
The Chargers will be play home on Wednesday, January 25th where the conference action will continue as they face-off against Glen Oaks Community College. Game time is set for 5:30p.m. in Charger Arena.
