DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla women's basketball team captured their fourth consecutive win on Wednesday night, over Glen Oaks Community College, 65-33. The win brought the Chargers record to 12-6 overall and 5-2 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Conference.
"Once again our defense held us together," commented head coach Tom Robbins. "We struggled shooting the ball, especially in the first quarter, but our defense was able to force 29 turnovers for the game which led to easy conversions."
Ancilla was led in scoring by Donshelle Daniels who pulled a double-double for the night with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore Alexsis Miller scored 15 points, and Quaynika Merriweather put up 11. On the rebound side, Donshae Daniels, Karson Williams, and Kristen Duff each pulled down eight rebounds each.
The Chargers will travel to Lake Michigan College on Friday, January 27th, to continue their conference play. Game time is set for 5:30p.m.
