DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla Charger Women's Basketball Team lost to Lake Michigan College on Friday afternoon, 65-47.
Ancilla trailed by three at the end of the first quarter, but came back to pull ahead by one at the end of the first half. In the third quarter, the Chargers failed to keep their moment as they had a 24-6 quarter and were unable to make up enough ground to close the gap.
"For three of the four quarters, we executed our game plan very well, but against a good team, it has to be four quarters" said Head Coach Tom Robbins. "The difference in the game was the third quarter. We didn't transition to defense the way we had in the first half and as a result, they were able to build a double digit lead on us. We got back on track in the fourth quarter, but by then the damage had already been done."
The women's basketball team will travel to Muskegon, MI on Wednesday afternoon to play Muskegon Community College. Game time is 5:30p.m.
