DONALDSON, IN – Charger Men's Basketball defeated Mid-Michigan Community College on the road Saturday, 74-66, making the team 19-4 on the season and 9-3 in the MCCAA.
Ancilla, who led by seven at the end of the first half, was led in scoring by Dylan Phair with 20 points. Sophomore Gary Bonds put up 16 points and Anderson McCoy added 13. In rebound, Bonds and DK Fox led with eight each.
"I am really proud of the way the guys played," remarked Head Coach Aaron Butcher. "We were as locked in defensively as we have been all year in the first 12-15 minutes of the game and that allowed us to build a nice lead. Mid-Michigan rallied late, but we were able to withstand it. We have a tough week this week with two road games that are three days a part. But I like where we are at right now."
The team is headed to Jackson, MI on Wednesday to face off against Jackson College. Tip-off is set for 7:30p.m.
