MYRTLE BEACH, SC – A very promising beginning had a disappointing end for Ancilla's Chargers as they fell to Manhattanville College in their opener Sunday night at the Ripken Experience in South Carolina by a final of 12-6.
The Chargers fell behind 2-0 in the second but recovered to take a 3-2 lead in their half of the third. A four run sixth for Manhattanville blew open a 5-5 tie and gave them the win.
John Fuson was two for three and Justin Segers was two for four at the plate. Juan Silfa had a pair of RBI's with a double.
Ancilla takes on Henry Ford and Penn State Mont Alto on Monday.
