BATTLE CREEK, MI – The Chargers men's basketball team lost a conference game to Kellogg Community College Wednesday 77-66. The loss brings their record to 8-16 overall and 2-12 in the MCCAA West.
Coach Butcher mentioned, "We had too many turnovers and could not get consistent stops which enabled them to go on several big runs throughout the game. We continued to play hard and cut a 17 point deficit to 9 points with about 5 minutes to play."
Top performances were turned in by Jacob Frazier (Niles, MI) with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Riley Angeli (Sainte Sault Marie, MI) added 12 points while Rosey Green (South Bend, IN) contributed 15 points for the Chargers.
Coach Butcher concluded, "We have a very good Glen Oaks team coming in Saturday for our final home game. We will begin preparation for them and hope to end the home season on a high note."
The Chargers continue MCCAA West play when host Glen Oaks Community College Saturday, February 23 with tipoff at 3:00 p.m.
