Franklin Returning to the Lanes in 2026-2027

PLYMOUTH (IN) - Marian University Plymouth would like to welcome Head Bowling Coach Alvin Franklin back to the position he held just a few years ago. Coach Franklin is responsible for starting the bowling program at Ancilla College, before the school transitioned to the Marian Univeristy Plymouth moniker. He was also at the helm for the Charger women's team who took home the 2019 NJCAA National Championship for Ancilla College and looks to replicate that type of success once again.

"I am looking forward to returning to the program I helped build and once again help turn it into a National power each year," stated Coach Franklin. "We want to have the same mission and focus, by bringing in quality student-athletes who perform both in the classroom and at the alleys each weekend." Coach Franklin is coming to Marian University Plymouth following stints as the Head Women's Bowling Coach at NAIA Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio, and NCAA Division I Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. He replaces Coach Mark Ringenberg, who stepped down after three seasons to help rebuild the Charger Women's Golf program.
