LIVONIA (MI) - Time is running out on the 2025-2026 Men's Bowling season, and the Chargers of Marian University Ancilla headed to Merri-Bowl Lanes Friday afternoon to participate in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Conference Championship Tournament. The men showed improved play from a week ago, collectively scoring a 2215 in the 3-round team competition. It was their second best outing of the year, but strong for them nonetheless, placing them in 10th of the 11 teams on hand.

Freshman Austin Nunn has been the steady driving force of the team this season, and Friday he continued his consistent play, scoring a 488 through the 3-round singles portion of the competition. He started the event with a 139, but his 3rd round score of 201 was a personal best for this season. He placed 31st of the 69 eligible men's bowlers in the Championship.

Fellow Freshman Logan Otten found his best rolls of the season this weekend. The Ohio native rolled a 3-round series best of 496, including a 196 final round score. The rookie bowler finished 24th of the 69 men's bowlers in the singles competition. Otten teamed up with Nunn to score a 945 in the 3-round doubles competition as well.

Congratulations to the Men's Bowlers on a significant improvement this weekend. Next Friday (2/20), they head to Lansing (MI) to compete in the NJCAA Region 12 Tournament. Please come out and support these young men, if you are able!! Good luck, gentlemen!!
