With Spring sports quickly coming to a conclusion over the next couple of weeks, awards will be coming as well. Men's Golf started that process as the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association) announced its all-conference awards. Charger Freshmen Hunter Zdyb and Andrew Cordova were front and center this season, as they each took home multiple awards.

Hunter was named the Golfer of the Year and the Freshman of the Year in the MCCAA Western Conference for Men's Golf. He won a pair of events this Spring and posted a school record round of 69 this past Friday at the Montcalm Invitational. Additionally, Hunter was named to the Western Conference All-Conference Team and the Western Conference All-Freshman Team. Hunter came to Marian Ancilla from nearby New Prairie High School.

Andrew was also named to the Western Conference All-Conference Team and the Western Conference All-Freshman Team. Andrew also added an event win to his list of accomplishments this Spring. He arrived at Marian Ancilla following high school at Hendrickson High in Pflugerville, Texas.

Congratulations to both young men on such prestigious athletic accomplishments!! The entire Charger family is proud of you and wishes you the best of luck moving forward!! Don't forget, you can come out and watch both of them play tomorrow at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, as we host the MCCAA Conference Championship. The first group tees off at 8:30 a.m., if you are able to attend!!
