You hear cliches in sports all the time like "every (insert inch, second, stroke, possession, etc. here) matters". In the case of the Marian University Ancilla Men's Golf team, nothing rings more true. Tuesday afternoon, their season came to an end as they fell just one stroke short of tying for 3rd Place out of the 13 team field in the NJCAA Region 12 Championship, preventing them from qualifying for the NJCAA National Championships in two weeks. Still, though, it was an outstanding effort by these young men, as they finished the last couple of weeks on several high notes across the board.

MCCAA Freshmen of the Year Hunter Zdyb was rewarded, however, as his scores qualified him as an individual golfer permitted to advance and participate in the National Championships. In the three-round event, Zdyb shot 78, 75, and 76 for a total of 229, placing 4th amongst a strong field. Below is a look at team results and individual results for your Charger golfers.

Congratulations to the Men's Golf team on a great season, and to Hunter Zdyb as he will represent the Chargers at the NJCAA National Championships May 20th-23rd!!
