The Marian Ancilla Men's Soccer team is on a roll right now, and it continued Tuesday afternoon. For the second time in as many weeks, Redshirt Freshman Goalkeeper Trent Platz was named Goalie of the Week in the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association). Not only was he the conference Goalie of the Week, but he was also the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer Goalie of the Week for his performances.

The 6-foot-6 Platz recorded a pair of shutouts last week, stopping 20 shots on goal throughout the two matches, to earn the two prestigious awards. Platz came to MUAC in 2023 from New Prairie High School but unfortunately missed his true Freshman season in the Fall of 2023 due to a preseason injury. He's made up for it with a stellar campaign in 2024.

The Chargers are now 10-4 on the season with a chance to qualify for the Region 12 tournament later this weekend. Please come out and support Trent and the rest of the squad as they try to extend their season for a few more games.
