Despite a tough start to the season, the Marian University Ancilla Women's Soccer team has remained resilient and competitive, and Wednesday they picked up their first win of the season, 4-2, over St. Clair County Community College, otherwise known as SC4.
Coming up huge for the Chargers was 5-foot-2 Freshman America Reyes. The aggressive Reyes scored not one, not two, not three, but all four goals for the Chargers on eight shots on goal!! It is believed to be the first haul for a women's soccer player in program history.
As she has been all season, Freshman goalkeeper Reagan Kooy was impressive between the pipes, saving a whopping 20 shots on goal!!
Congratulations to the ladies on their first victory!! The Chargers are back in action this Wednesday, September 24th, when they travel to Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio. Kickoff is schedule for 1:00p, if you are able to attend.
