Earlier today, the Michigan Community College Athletic Association announced their award winners for the 2025-2026 Men's Basketball season. Two members of the Marian University Ancilla Men's Basketball team were each honored with an award...Sophomore Kenneth Grant and Freshman Omari Evans.

Grant was named to the MCCAA's Western Conference 3rd Team. The 6-1 guard is a graduate of Hammond's Central High School and came to Marian Ancilla two years ago, following a semester at Calumet College of St. Joseph. This season he averaged 17.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, while shooting an impressive 42% from 3-point range. Additionally, his 132 made 3-pointers this year set the single-season record for the Charger Men's Basketball program.

Evans was among those named Honorable Mention in the MCCAA's Western Conference. The 6-0 guard is a graduate of Portage High School where he graduated last Spring. Evans led the Chargers in scoring at 19.4 points per game, including a 20.9 point per game average in conference matchups. He also led the team with 3.8 assists per game, plus he contributed 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.
