Women Fall to #22 KCC, 82-78

Friday evening, the Marian University Ancilla Women's Basketball team hosted the #22 ranked Kankakee Valley Cavaliers at Charger Arena. While the Chargers had their chances throughout the contest, the Cavaliers were able to build a 4th quarter lead of as many as 8 points, before closing out the 82-78 win over Marian Ancilla.

The Chargers were led by Sophomore guard Annika Davis, who tossed in 26 points, including a final 3-point attempt at the buzzer. She made 6 3-pointers on the evening, plus she added a pair of steals and a pair of blocked shots defensively. Sophomore guard Aaliyah Keil also had a well-rounded game, contributing 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists to the effort. Sophomore wing Santana Eubanks was a third double-figure scorer for the Chargers, adding 15 points of her own, plus she posted a double-double with her 11 rebounds in the loss.

Marian Ancilla plays one more time before Thanksgiving, as they host Edison State in a women's/men's double-header this Wednesday, November 26th. The Women's team will begin action with a tip-time of 12:00p, while the Men's game will follow. Please come out and support the Chargers, if you are able!!
