BENTON HARBOR (MI) - The Charger Men's Basketball team went on the road Wednesday evening to face the Lake Michigan College Red Hawks in another MCCAA West Division matchup. While Marian Ancilla had little trouble finding its offense, the Chargers allowed 64 second half points en route to a 120-86 defeat.
Sophomore Kenneth Grant had another big night, scoring 33 points on 13-25 shooting, including a 6-14 performance from beyond the arc. Freshmen Shawn Donaldson and Kayden English joined Grant in double figures with 14 points and 13 points, respectively. Freshman Omari Evans led the team with 6 assists, while Freshman A'Marien Page topped the Chargers with 5 rebounds.
The Men's Basketball team will play 4 games over the next 8 days, as they have a makeup game coming up on Monday (2/2). First, they will face Kellogg Community College tomorrow afternoon at the LifePlex in Plymouth, with the tip time at approximately 3:00p (following the 1:00p women's game). Monday they host Glen Oaks, followed by Southwestern Michigan on Wednesday, then Saturday they travel to Glen Oaks. Please come out and support the Chargers, if you are able!!
